Add Music · iPhone + iPad

Add music while staying in control of the original sound.

Import an audio file as a video's soundtrack, then replace the original audio or mix the two together. Separate volume and fill controls keep the result intentional from the first second to the last.

One video, a deliberate soundtrack

How to add music to a video on iPhone.

Add Music works with an existing audio file; it does not pull tracks from streaming services.

Step 1

Select the media

Choose one video, then import the audio file you want to use as music. Generated audio can also enter through Add to Video.

Step 2

Build the mix

Replace the original sound or keep it, set each volume, and choose whether short music loops or stops when it ends.

Step 3

Export with sound

Preview the balance and create one video whose audio track contains the configured mix.

Replace, blend, loop, or stop

Replacing is useful when the camera audio should disappear completely. Mixing keeps speech or atmosphere under the music, with independent controls for original and added volume. If the imported track is shorter than the video, loop repeats it; stop-at-end leaves the remainder without that music layer.

Add Music can also receive an audio result from Text to Speech, AI Text to Speech, Trim Audio, or Speed Control through the app's Add to Video action. Core mixing and video export run on your device.
