Add Timer · iPhone + iPad

Show elapsed time with a precise count-up timer.

Add a timer that starts at 00:00.000 when its selected interval begins. Position and style it for a workout, experiment, race, demonstration, or any video where elapsed time matters.

A focused three-step edit

How to add a count-up timer to video on iPhone.

The timer measures elapsed time from the start of its own active range, not from the beginning of the source unless you choose the full video.

Step 1

Open Add Timer

Select one compatible video from Photos, Files, sharing, or a previous ClipFlow result.

Step 2

Choose the active range

Set when the timer appears and disappears. It begins at 00:00.000 at that interval’s first frame.

Step 3

Place and style it

Choose a corner or center preset, drag to a custom position if needed, set its colors and size, then generate the video.

A count-up timer, not a countdown

ClipFlow displays elapsed time as minutes and seconds plus three millisecond digits. At the selected start time it reads 00:00.000, then counts upward until the selected end. It is hidden before and after that range.

Choose top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right, or center, or move the timer to a custom position. Text size ranges from 12 to 96 points, and you can choose the text color, edge padding, optional background color, background opacity, and background padding.

Output and next steps

The timer is rendered into a new video on the device, with the source audio retained when available. Add Timer is included without Pro. The generated video can continue into compatible tools, such as speed control, although changing speed afterward also changes how quickly the visible timer progresses.
