Open Automatic Face Redaction
Choose one compatible video, set the active time range, and move the preview to a frame where the faces are visible.
Automatic Face Redaction · Pro · iPhone + iPad
Run an on-device Apple Vision analysis over the selected time range, inspect the resulting face tracks, and apply pixelation, blur, color, an emoji, or a still image. ClipFlow detects face regions; it does not recognize who a person is.
Automatic detection needs review
Analysis finds visual face regions and links detections over time. It does not identify people or guarantee that every face is found.
Choose one compatible video, set the active time range, and move the preview to a frame where the faces are visible.
Start analysis so Apple Vision can detect face regions on the device. Scrub through the selected range and review each resulting track.
Choose the tracks to cover, select an effect and its settings, and preview difficult moments. You can generate with uncovered intervals, but those moments remain unchanged, so review the finished video carefully.
ClipFlow uses Apple Vision to locate face regions and associate them across nearby video frames. It does not compare faces with a person database, assign names, or determine identity. You choose which detected tracks receive the effect.
Choose pixelation, blur, a solid color, an emoji, or a custom still image. Each detected face region receives extra visual padding to reduce exposed edges. The custom image option accepts one still photo only; animated images are not supported.
Faces can be missed or tracks can drift when a face is small, blurred, partly hidden, turned away, moving quickly, or poorly lit. Analysis is a starting point, not a privacy guarantee. Scrub through the full selected range, check every track you need, and inspect the generated video before sharing it or deleting the source.
Face analysis uses Apple Vision on the device and does not upload the video. ClipFlow creates a new video, preserves the source audio when present, and leaves the original file unchanged. Automatic Face Redaction requires ClipFlow Pro, and its result can continue into compatible video tools.
